WHAT I DO

Materials and procedures

I use natural materials and I follow the old procedures during the sinewing process. All my work is hand made. I higly respect native ways and I believe that each bow is a sacred and mystic object, so I behave accordingly.

Bows

I'm able to make any kind of Plains, forest bow with sinew or without, with specific tribal differencies of shape, design etc. All my bows are "tailor made" for my customers, so before I start, I need to know some criteria and measurements. I keep in contact with all my customers and I consult their feedback.

I do bows from osage orange, black locust, green ash, hickory, rattan (just for fun), black ash, yew, american yew etc.

Horn bows are a big challange for me, but due to CITES it is difficult to obtain big horn sheep horns, but I'm working on mufflon horn bows. The disadvantage of coming from Europe is the fact being limited by the supply of original materials, so here I address all wood supplyers etc. you will be very welcomed contacting me.

Each bow I make is an original, you will never find two identical bows. I also design all bows belonging to tribal or personal design requirements.

I use sinew string as well, but due to high humidity I higly recommand Dacron string B 50, which is satisfactory. There is a lifelong guarantee to all my bows.

I do small repair services for free (like fixing sinews, re-painting, cleaning, gluing etc.)

Arrows

I make arrows using a wide range of predator feathers (according to the law, of course), turkey as well. Each set of arrows is also made for special request of customers and also for special purpose. All my arrows are biconical like native arrows, only the target arrows arn't. For arrows I used Red (dog) Willow (Cornus sanguinea), White willow ( Cornus sericea  or Cornus alba). For target arrows I use mainly cedar. A set of 7 arrows is the basic number my bows come with,  but by request I can do more, of course.

Quivers

I am able to make traditional quivers as well. If you have the wish for your personal quiver, please let me know in advance, because making a quiver needs special time and care. Respecting higly traditional native ways of life I believe that each quiver and bow has a special meaning for their owner, so please never ask me for a replica of any original. Originals are only a source of inspiration to me. A new original is the result of my work after consultation with you.
