I made my first bow and arrow when I was 8 years old. I also grew up with influence of Plains Native culture, which I studied, and of course by their bows. Since my adolescent I learned ancient technologies and I studied using of natural materials and process.
After some period I did my first sinew bow and I also tested many kind of wood and shapes of short plains bows. Then I was able to produce bows with maximum power and swing.
I'm very thoroughly keeping all details of plains bows, without any change of shape or design as many others bow makers do.
My bows are used for hunting, horse archery, primitive archery and also I'm making bows for someone who is completing his quiver and he need bow & arrows made exactly by original.
I'm also member of Czech Archery Ass. in primitive bow category.
Making the bows is never ending process, so I'm still learning and as one old Lakota bow maker sad,I'm still waiting for blesed wood by lightning to make the best bow in my life.
I'm producing bows, arrows and quivers not just for sale, many of them are traded.
Any picture of old bows, arrows and quivers are welcome and I'm open to share my knowledge for anybody who is enchanted by Native bow and archery.
